These cushions make a beautiful keepsake for a new baby or even as a birthday present.
There are so many variations that are available...this one has a patchwork border.

Ninja Pants
Thursday, 22 May 2014
Hello and welcome to my revamped blog! It's a work in progress and I'm hoping to share with you the behind the scenes of Bubby and Me Creations along with anything else that crops up along the way.
Kick starting today is a review of the Titchy Threads Small Fry Skinny Jeans - I have seen these jeans popping up all around the place and really wanted to give them a try, but also saw some reviews that they were time consuming, so that did put me off a little.
But after shopping recently with Mr 4, who is particular fussy when it comes to what clothes he wears, we couldn't find any long pants that we liked so I offered to make him a pair. His eyes lit up and he asked if I could make red pants with Ninja's on them? (I had recently bought some Ninja embroidery designs). Sure, I said, why not? So we went fabric shopping but he quickly changed his mind when he saw the blue fabric.
After some discussion, we agreed on putting the Ninja's on the back pockets (Mr 4 wanted them on the front thighs!) and we then chose which Ninja's we would use. Mr 4 watched carefully as the designs stitched out and was very happy with the results.
The pattern was very easy to follow with such clear and carefully explained instructions. I chose not to put in a zip, which I think will be easier for Mr 4 to do up his pants on his own. The pants also have adjustable elastic, which for me is a must in kids pants. I did skip the belt loops so had to change the way I put in the elastic, which was no big deal.
I will admit that these were a labour of love...the pants were time consuming but I love the new techniques that I learnt (flat felled seams being one...who knew they were so easy?) and I absolutely love the fit - it's perfect!
I think they're a hit with Mr 4 as well...he hasn't taken them off!
Ninja pants deseve a Ninja pose!
"Can you see my Ninja's?"
Now Mr 6 has requested a pair...red pants with super hero logos on the pockets...stay tuned!
